Useful life matrix for Drayage Trucks under CARB Advanced Clean Fleet regulation
The Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) regulation is part of a broader strategy to deploy medium- and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) everywhere feasible. The regulation is still being developed and is subject to change with public input and/or Board direction.
Engine Model 2010 (Truck Model 2011)
- First mileage reporting due "02/15/2025"
- Earliest possible retirement date "Retired in 2025 if 800,000+ reported vehicle miles"
- Vehicle must be retired in next reporting year once 800,000 vehicle miles is reached- After 13 years or up to 18 years (Final retirement date) from certified CARB or EPA engine year
- Final retirement date "01/01/2028"
Engine Model 2011 (Truck Model 2012)
- First mileage reporting due "02/15/2025"
- Earliest possible retirement date "Retired in 2025 if 800,000+ reported vehicle miles"
- Vehicle must be retired in next reporting year once 800,000 vehicle miles is reached- After 13 years or up to 18 years (Final retirement date) from certified CARB or EPA engine year
